The Winter Garden 11" x 16", pen and sepia ink and coloured pencils in Moleskine Sketchbook copyright Katherine Tyrrell |
Continuing my series of sketches of my mother's garden in Cheshire - this is a sketch of the Winter Garden done this last weekend.
I was rather surprised by just how much colour there is in the garden in winter. Could be something to do with what my mother has planted over the years of course!

So lovely!
ReplyDeleteClever Mother, it's a beautiful winter garden. Clever Daughter has captured it beautifully. How long did it take?
ReplyDeleteI was drawing most of one morning - before the light changed too much.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Robyn, clever Mum. Such a lovely aray of winter colour and the bird table is right in the line of sight. Plenty to cheer up winter days.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right. The bird table is brought near to the French Window during winter so that there's a minimal distance to walk when putting bird feed out on icy mornings!
ReplyDeleteYou can just feel the crisp cold morning air. Wonderful!
